Now albeit that I am a guy through and through I am a devout supporter of this relationship, however unlike to typical connotations placed upon it by the "mass" Eva fans, I for one choose to see this as a relationship which not only transcends friendship, but family as well.
The bond shared between these two individuals made anime and pop culture history all those many years ago, and it has succeeded in standing the test of time.
